HiGHmed Retreat in Berlin

Our HiGHmed retreat in Berlin has just come to an end. The group of participants consisted of our consortium leader Prof Dr Roland Eils, the HiGHmed partner representatives and the heads of the HiGHmed MeDICs, the teams of HiGHmed PMO and HiGHmed Association and other guests such as Ralf Heyder (Network University Medicine (NUM)) and Harald Wagener (Berlin Institute of Health at Charité).

After a warm welcome by our consortium leader Prof Roland Eils, Ralf Heyder presented the current status and objectives of the NUM. This was followed by Harald Wagener's presentation on the 'European Health Data Space', which focussed on the necessity of an EHDS, its visions and goals as well as possible synergy effects between EHDS, MII and HiGHmed.

In the afternoon, we focussed on the potential of openEHR: After Prof. Björn Schreiweis had reported on the use of openEHR at the University Hospotal Schleswig-Holstein, Birger Haarbrandt gave exciting insights into the (inter)national developments around openEHR.

Thank you for your participation and the lively discussions! One thing is for sure: we will take some to-dos and challenges, but also new impulses, plans and ideas with us into the new year!
