WHAT IS HIVEPRO

HIVEPRO is the new and innovative product line of HIGHmed's Digital Health technology, setting state-of-the-art in secure, efficient, and vendor-neutral storage and use of clinical routine data. HIVEPRO optimizes and significantly simplifies the integration and analysis of patient data. Its core component HIVEbase – is a high-resolution, version-stable, and future-proof data repository and hub that ensures the interoperability of clinical primary data.

The networking component HIVEvault complements this, as a research data platform that offers a flexible extension to the system. Serving as a central data integration hub, HIVEvault connects to research data networks and can be used either independently or in collaboration with HIGHmed’s established network partners.

With a scalable portfolio of additional HIVEPRO components, HIGHmed technology enables seamless integration with hospital information systems (HIS) as well as national and international research infrastructures. In the near future, HIVEbrain will further expand these capabilities by leveraging AI-powered algorithms to enable value-generating and compliant data utilization for partners.

HOW HIVEPRO WORKS

HIVEPRO combines innovative IT components with the highest product and quality standards and delivers them as a standardized cloud service, hosted in Germany. A Clinical Data Repository (CDR), built on the internationally recognized interoperability standard openEHR, forms the core of the HIVEPRO database engine. The openEHR standard provides a version-stable and internationally harmonized data model.

Thanks to powerful interfaces and mapping services, HIVEPRO enables seamless communication via HL7/FHIR – including compatibility with the MII core dataset compatibility with the MII core dataset – and supports other systems such as OMOP-compliant applications.

The CDR data is stored in a relational database, using a powerful and user-friendly query language known as Archetype Query Language (AQL). This makes HIVEPRO ideally suited for data-driven applications such as apps, dashboards, statistical evaluations, or training AI models.

HIGHmed’s IT experts understand the challenges of complex digital health implementations and have equipped HIVEPRO with additional innovative features – such as system monitoring, auditing, and the orchestration of complex ETL processes.
