After several months of intensive editorial work and strong teamwork among the four consortia DIFUTURE, HIGHmed, MIRACUM, and SMITH, as well as TMF Association (funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space), the time had finally come last week: the new ONE MII Journal of the Medical Informatics Initiative was published!
The journal clearly demonstrates the key role that structured and interoperable health data play in modern research, innovative applications using artificial intelligence, and the further development of healthcare—also with regard to the European Health Data Space (EHDS).
