The Medical Informatics Initiative takes successful stock of first funding phase:

Under the motto "Networking. Research. Healing. Balance and Perspectives", more than 300 participants from university medicine, research policy, associations and patient organisations came together at the symposium of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII) on 5 and 6 October 2022 in Berlin. One of the highlights of the two-day event was the presentation of the Research Data Portal for Health. The portal now provides a central search and application portal for researchers who want to use health data from German university medicine for their research.

Over the two days, researchers from all MII consortia HiGHmed, DIFUTURE, MIRACUM & SMITH in particular presented their exciting projects.

In the coming funding phase of the MII from 2023 onwards, the aim will be, among other things, to involve non-university stakeholders and to create broad acceptance for the research data use of health data in the population.
