Since March 2025, Professor Dominik Heider is the new HiGHmed site coordinator at the University of Münster.
And since September 1st, 2024, Professor Dominik Heider has been leading the Institute of Medical Informatics (IMI) at the University of Münster. Professor Heider studied computer science at the University of Münster and earned his doctorate there in 2008. After completing his habilitation at the University of Duisburg-Essen and holding various academic positions – including in Marburg and Düsseldorf – he has now returned to his alma mater. As of March 2025, he also serves as the site coordinator for the HiGHmed Consortium at our Münster location.
His research focuses on developing machine learning algorithms for the analysis of biomedical data, such as predicting antibiotic resistance or modeling diseases.
