Yesterday, the team of HiGHmed Association travelled to Cottbus: to the Thiem-Research GmbH (TRS) of the Carl-Thiem-Klinikum (CTK).
As a research institution of the CTK, the TRS develops new concepts and health technologies not only in the laboratory, but in the middle of the reality of everyday care. The interdisciplinary team researches the medicine of the future in innovative projects and makes data available at the site for research and care.
We look back on an exciting, inspiring visit in an upcoming region, because in the course of structural change, the CTK is to be expanded into a university hospital in the coming years. To this end, the CTK had already received funding in the amount of 85 million euros in December 2022.
This marked the start of the CTK's development as a so-called 'digital lead hospital'. This is a network that can be accessed by all actors in the healthcare sector.
