HiGHmed GoEMG BarCamp
Berlin | January 19–20, 2026
The GoEMG, supported by openEHR International, promotes interdisciplinary collaboration in openEHR content modeling across the DACH region.
In early January 2026, IT experts, clinicians, and modelers came together in an open and collegial atmosphere for several working sessions. Together, they discussed pressing questions, current challenges, and open topics related to openEHR and developed practical solution approaches.
A particular highlight was the direct exchange with international openEHR experts such as Ian McNicoll, Heidi Koikkalainen, Joost Holslag, and Antje Wulff. Meeting them in person, having the opportunity to ask questions, and gaining first-hand insights made the event particularly valuable.
The scientific leadership of the Bar Camp was provided by Michael Marschollek from the Peter L. Reichertz Institut für Medizinische Informatik (Technische Universität Braunschweig & Medizinische Hochschule Hannover).
Both days clearly demonstrated the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, shared modeling, and a strong community for the continued evolution of openEHR.
Here, we provide key highlights and presentation slides from our esteemed guests.
