Medical Informatics Initiative: Digital Offensive in the Health Sector

No quod sanctus instructior ius, et intellegam interesset duo. Vix cu nibh gubergren dissentias. His velit veniam habemus ne. No doctus neglegentur vituperatoribus est, qui ad ipsum oratio. Ei duo dicant facilisi, qui at harum democritum consetetur.

At today's press conference at the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Federal Research Minister Bettina Stark-Watzinger published the third funding guideline for the expansion of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII). With this, she said, a new phase of data-based health research in Germany is now beginning. Our HiGHmed Consortium leader Prof. Roland Eils sees the MII as the most important push for digitalization in healthcare.

Both emphasized the great added value of the MII:

Bettina Stark- Watzinger: "Digitization, data-based health research will be the medicine of the future. They will be the mainstay of a preventive, crisis-proof and, above all, modern healthcare system for the benefit of us all."

Prof. Dr. Roland Eils: "It is fair to say that with the help of the MII we have made a significant and the most important push for the digitization of the healthcare sector after more than a decade of standstill in Germany."
