Previously she was a group leader of the FAIR Data and Distributed Analytics and Deputy Head of the Knowledge Pipelines Department at Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT. Furthermore she works as postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at Informatik 5, RWTH Aachen University. She conducts research related to data reusability and FAIR data management, distributed analytics on sensitive data, and data-driven transformation in medicine. Her areas of expertise are medical informatics, semantic web technologies, clinical decision support, patient empowerment, research data management, and ethical and social challenges of data. HiGHmed and especially the HiGHmed working group „Analytics“ welcome Oya Beyan in their team.
