The Junior Research Group MoveGroup has now its own presence on the HiGHmed website!
https://www.highmed.org/en/junior-research-groups-movegroup

The MoveGroup proposes, implements, and evaluates new methods of integrating and analyzing multimodal sensor signals and clinical data for the diagnosis and study of movement disorders. In doing so, the scientific goals and research activities of the project are structured along the following three main objectives:

Objective 1: Sensor-based acquisition, modeling of body movements
Objective 2: HiGHmed-compliant data integration and exploitation
Objective 3: Decision support and knowledge gain with AI methods

More junior research groups will be featured on our website in the following weeks and months.

Background:

Well-trained professionals are a key success factor of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII). For this reason, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is providing supplementary funding of around 30 million euros (2020-2026) to 21 junior research groups as a substructure for newly established medical informatics professorships. The junior research groups are to support the professorships and be integrated into the work at the universities. This makes the forward-looking research field in Germany attractive for scientists.
