In doing so, the scientific goals and research activities of the project are structured along the following three main objectives:
Objective 1: Sensor-based acquisition, modeling of body movements Objective 2: HiGHmed-compliant data integration and exploitation Objective 3: Decision support and knowledge gain with AI methods
More junior research groups will be featured on our website in the following weeks and months.
Well-trained professionals are a key success factor of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII). For this reason, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research is providing supplementary funding of around 30 million euros (2020-2026) to 21 junior research groups as a substructure for newly established medical informatics professorships. The junior research groups are to support the professorships and be integrated into the work at the universities. This makes the forward-looking research field in Germany attractive for scientists.
