Today, on 30 April 2024, the teams from HiGHmed e.V. and Bosch Health Campus GmbH (BHC) will come together to discuss the partnership and its strategic direction for the coming years.

The BHC has been a member of HiGHmed e.V. since 2022 and is pursuing the goal of establishing a medical data integration centre (MeDIC) for the cross-location use of medical data.

For HiGHmed e.V., the collaboration with a ‘non-university’ partner such as the BHC represents significant progress. In this context, both sides will benefit in future from the exchange of data, experience, established processes and the newly created infrastructures.
The BHC brings together all of the Robert Bosch Stiftung's healthcare facilities, including the Robert Bosch Hospital. With over 1,191 beds and a broad team of more than 3,000 employees, they are ready to offer individualised care and innovative solutions.

Nico Schmid, Project Manager MeDIC at BHC/Robert Bosch Hospital, emphasises the importance of data sovereignty for people. A central concern of the BHC is to respond to the current changes in the healthcare system with new ideas, impulses and structures in order to bring together treatment, research, education and support in a synergistic and agile way.
The BHC and its clinics still have many tasks and challenges ahead of them before medical data can be utilised across institutions for research and care. We wish them every success and are happy to continue to provide support.
