EHRshow – how an idea became a stage for digital health

With the EHRshow, we launched a project that arose from a clear conviction: openEHR deserves more visibility.

openEHR is an internationally established standard for health data – structured, interoperable, and open. But outside the specialist community, it often remains abstract. Our goal was to change that. We wanted to show that openEHR is not just a technical specification, but the basis for real, innovative applications in digital healthcare.

This motivation led us to develop the EHRshow (https://www.ehrshow.eu/) – a platform where openEHR-based applications can be presented. A stage where developers can show what is possible with open data.
The EHRshow highlights how diverse and practical the use of openEHR already is today – and how much potential this approach still has.

At the same time, it was important to us to make getting started as easy as possible. An app, an integration, a common foundation – that's all it takes to be represented at the EHRshow. The result is a place where innovation, transparency, and collaboration come together as a matter of course.

Today, the EHRshow is live. We are constantly developing it further—technically, organizationally, and in close coordination with the community.

EHRshow – how an idea became a stage for digital healthOur next goal: to further expand the platform together with developers and make even more applications based on open health data visible.

For us, the EHRshow is more than just a product. It is an expression of our attitude:
If health data is to be open, applications must be too. With the EHRshow, we are creating a stage for this.
