New milestone for CAEHR! On August 1, 2025, the second funding phase of CAEHR – CArdiovascular Diseases – Enhancing Healthcare through cross-Sectoral Routine data integration, led by Dagmar Krefting (University Medical Center Göttingen), began. As part of the DigiHub initiative and closely linked to the Medical Informatics Initiative, CAEHR pursues a central goal: to further develop the cross-sector use of routine data in order to sustainably improve the care of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

Within the first phase, which ended on July 31, 2025, three important use cases for improving care for cardiovascular diseases were addressed:
✅ Emergency care for stroke patients
✅ Rehabilitation after heart surgery
✅ Outpatient care for coronary heart disease

HIGHmed was actively involved in the successful first funding phase until July 2025. With the transition to the new project phase, we are now handing over communication to new hands – and will continue to follow developments with great interest and appreciation from our observer role.

We wish the entire CAEHR team every success, scientific depth, and above all: a tangible impact on patient care tomorrow.
